Having started my own hairdressing career in 1966, it was impossible not to be aware of the name Vidal Sassoon. Despite the fact that I didn't train or work there, I always knew that he had created the greatest revolution in hair, and no one could escape his methods or influence. I met him for the first time in the mid-nineties when I asked him if I could interview him for my book Hair Heroes. After the book was finished and I toured the country with it, I was invariably asked if I had a favorite hair hero. Despite the extraordinary achievements and accomplishments of everyone in the book, Vidal's effect was so broad, so radical, that I was forced to admit that I saw him as the number one most influential hairdresser in history.

The idea for the film started off as a personal tribute to him as he was approaching his 80th birthday, and then it grew into a major initiative to capture this man's life both in a film and a book. My intention was to leave a lasting memory of him that would inspire young people and re-inspire the older generation of hairdressers, as well as the millions of people in the world to whom the name Vidal Sassoon is either familiar or personal or evocative. Due to the fact that hairdressing's impact on society has not been very well documented or recorded, much less respected because of the lack of any serious written material, I am hoping that this is something that every hairdresser in the world will want to share with everyone they know.

Every year more than 8,000 deaths are caused by road accidents in Argentina. This is an average of 22 deaths a day. In addition, about 120,000 people a year are injured in road accidents. In the past decade this meant in excess of 100,000 deaths. The millions of pesos that are needed by the victims and their families to cope with medical and legal costs represent a huge market sustained by the settlements paid out by insurance companies and the fragility of the law. Each of these unfortunate incidents could bring with it a business opportunity.

Sosa is a lawyer that specialises in road accidents. He is about to recover his practising license. He scours the accidents and emergency wings of hospitals, the emergency services and the police stations, seeking clients. He now works for a foundation that supposedly aids the victims but, in fact, is the front for a shady law firm. Sosa procures the clients, the witnesses, the adjusters' reports. He deals with the police, the judges and the insurers.

Lujan is a young doctor, a newcomer to the city. She works all hours, in several places, ambulances, accidents and emergency wings, emergency services. She works alone, tirelessly, she hardly has time to sleep. She finds herself in a world that is alien to her.

This love story begins the night Lujan and Sosa meet, on the street. She is fighting to save the victim's life. He wants the victim to be his client. Together they will try to change the course of their lives, but Sosa's turbulent past will come up against them.

Driven to become a brilliant soldier and now given command of a small fort in the southwest, Marcus bravely leads his troops during a siege. Commended by Rome for his bravery, yet discharged from the army because of his severe wounds, Marcus convalesces, demoralized, in the villa of his Uncle Aquila (Donald Sutherland), a retired army man. When Marcus impulsively gets a young Briton’s life spared at a gladiatorial contest, Aquila buys the Briton, Esca (Jamie Bell), to be Marcus’ slave. Marcus is dismissive of Esca, who harbors a seething hatred of all things Roman. Yet Esca vows to serve the man who has saved his life.

Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Marcus is galvanized into action, and sets off with Esca across Hadrian’s Wall. But the highlands of Caledonia are a vast and savage wilderness, and Marcus must rely on his slave to navigate the region. When they encounter ex-Roman soldier Guern (Mark Strong), Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).

Hopkins stars as Father Lucas. An Oscar® winner for his iconic portrayal of Dr. Hannibal Lecter in “The Silence of the Lambs,” Hopkins’ impressive career includes “The Remains of the Day” and this year’s “The Wolfman,” as well as the upcoming comics-based film “Thor.”

Making his feature film debut, O’Donoghue stars as Michael Kovak, the disillusioned American seminary student.

Alice Braga plays the role of Angeline, a journalist in Rome doing research on exorcisms. Braga will next be seen this summer in “Predators.” Her additional credits include “I Am Legend” and “City of God.”

Ciarán Hinds portrays Father Xavier. Known for his role as Gaius Julius Caesar in HBO’s “Rome,” Hinds will soon be seen in the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” films.

Toby Jones plays the role of Father Matthew. Jones has appeared in such films as “Frost/Nixon,” “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “The Painted Veil” and will soon be seen in “Captain America: The First Avenger.”

Veteran actor Rutger Hauer takes on the role of Michael’s father, Istvan Kovak. Hauer’s career includes roles in “Blade Runner,” “The Hitcher,” “Sin City” and “Batman Begins.”

Håfström previously directed the John Cusack thriller “1408,” and “Derailed,” starring Clive Owen and Jennifer Aniston. His most recent film, “Shanghai,” also starring John Cusack, will be in theaters later this year. His film “Evil,” which he wrote and directed, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2004 Academy Awards® and won three Swedish Guldbagge Awards, including Best Film.

In the Summer, Ken comes down to London to spend a weekend with Gerri and Tom. Ken works in a government employment office in Hull, and is Tom‟s boyhood friend from their native Derby. He gets very drunk, and bemoans his tragic, lonely life. The next day, while Gerri celebrates the sunshine at the allotment, Tom, Ken, Joe and a neighbor enjoy a game of golf. A barbeque party follows. Mary arrives late and flustered in her newly-acquired secondhand car. She is frosty towards an innocently amorous Ken, and flirtatious in an urgent and serious way towards Joe, her junior by a generation.

In the Autumn, Gerri and Tom return home from the allotment to enjoy a pleasant surprise from Joe. He has hidden his new partner Katie behind a door. Katie is an occupational therapist, and Gerri and Tom like her immediately. But Mary, who has already been invited to tea, is instantly jealous and hostile towards Katie, and behaves very rudely. Although they all sympathize with her car troubles, Mary‟s behavior towards Katie leaves a bad odor with the good-natured Gerri and Tom.

In the Winter, Gerri, Tom and Joe drive up to Derby for the funeral of the wife of Tom‟s elder brother, Ronnie. Ronnie‟s aggressive, estranged son Carl arrives late at the crematorium. Back at Ronnie‟s house, Carl is confrontational with his father, and with Tom and Joe; he causes other mourners to leave suddenly, and then stomps off in a rage. Gerri and Tom bring Ronnie back to London. Whilst they are at the allotment, Mary shows up at the house unannounced, and in a fraught state. She drinks tea and smokes cigarettes with a bemused Ronnie. On their return, Gerri and Tom are far from pleased to see Mary, especially as Joe is due to arrive with Katie for a family dinner. But after Mary has broken down apologetically, Gerri invites her to stay, albeit reluctantly. At the dinner table, while Gerri and Tom reminisce about the round-the-world backpacking days of their youth, and Katie and Joe look forward to their impending trip to Paris, Ronnie quietly enjoys his beer and his dinner and Mary faces the sad emptiness of her passing life.

Lomborg first came to prominence in 2001 with the publication of his best-selling book The Skeptical Environmentalist, in which he argued that while pollution and other environmental woes needed to addressed, real progress had been made and the situation was not nearly as dire as many activists maintained. The book, which led the World Economic Forum to select him as a Global Leader for Tomorrow, inspired intense debate and still provokes strong feelings nearly a decade later.

Ever since then, Lomborg has been a frequent participant in public debate about climate change and global economic priorities. His commentaries have appeared regularly in such publications as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, The Economist, Forbes, Le Monde, Toronto Globe & Mail, Washington Post, The Guardian, The Daily and Sunday Telegraph, The Times of London, The Australian, the Los Angeles Times and the Boston Globe. He has appeared on TV shows ranging the BBC’s “Newsnight” to HBO’s “Politically Incorrect” as well as CNN’s “Larry King Live,” ABC News’s “20/20,” and Australian Broadcasting’s “60 Minutes.”

Born in Denmark in 1965, Lomborg earned his M.A. and Ph.D. at the Department of Political Science, University of Copenhagen. She meets Ferguson, an art-loving gangster who is determined to buy the painting, and, after he’s had it authenticated, she performs a switch – leaving him with the fake. By the time he realizes, she’s gone – and Ferguson has only one course of action. He calls Victor.

Victor sets out to perform the hit – but instead, he is at first outraged by her thieving, then shocked by her sensuality, and finally quite unable to bring himself to kill her. His mother urges him to kill Rose for the sake of the family’s reputation. A deal is a deal. But when he goes to do so, he sees Ferguson’s bodyguard who has been sent to carry out the job instead. Victor shoots him and ends up protecting Rose, the woman he’s meant to kill. Worse still, he finds that he’s picked up an apprentice who has got the mistaken idea that Victor is “undercover”.

Now on the run, after a difficult night in a posh hotel, the oddball trio make their way to Victor’s country home to hide out. There, the edges begin to rub off and Victor finds himself drawn to Rose’s spirit – and she finds herself drawn to his steadiness – until she finds out what he does….and who his next target was to be. There are over 300 bank robberies in Boston every year. And a one-square-mile neighborhood in Boston, called Charlestown, has produced more bank and armored car robbers than anywhere in the U.S.

In the film, Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck), is a prolific bank robber but he is not cut from the same cloth as his fellow thieves. Unlike them, Doug had a chance at success, a chance to escape following in his father’s criminal footsteps. Instead he became the leader of a crew of ruthless bank robbers, who pride themselves on taking what they want and getting out clean. The only family Doug has are his partners in crime, especially Jem (Jeremy Renner), who, despite his dangerous, hair-trigger temper, is the closest thing Doug ever had to a brother.

However, everything changed on the gang’s last job when Jem briefly took a hostage: bank manager Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). When they discover she lives in Charlestown, Jem gets nervous and wants to check out what she might have seen. Knowing what Jem is capable of, Doug takes charge. He seeks out Claire, who has no idea that their encounter is not by chance or that this charming stranger is one of the men who terrorized her only days before.

As his relationship with Claire deepens into a passionate romance, Doug wants out of this life and the town. But with the Feds, led by Agent Frawley (Jon Hamm), closing in and Jem questioning his loyalty, Doug realizes that getting out will not be easy and, worse, may put Claire in the line of fire. Any choices he once had have boiled down to one: betray his friends or lose the woman he loves.
