Everyone is vying to win her favor. However Victoria is kept from the court by her overbearing mother, THE DUCHESS OF KENT (Miranda Richardson), and her ambitious advisor, CONROY (Mark Strong). Victoria hates them both. Her only friend is her doting governess, LEHZEN (Jeanette Hain), but she is smothering and over-protective.

Victoria’s handsome cousin, ALBERT (Rupert Friend) is invited to visit by her mother. He's also the nephew of her Uncle, KING LEOPOLD OF BELGIUM (Thomas Kretschmann). It's obvious that Albert has been coached to win her hand. At first she's annoyed as she has no intention of being married. She never wants to be controlled again. However Albert is also tired of being manipulated by his relatives. Victoria and Albert talk openly and sincerely and become friends. When he returns home she grants him permission to write to her. King Leopold is delighted and pushes Albert to woo her. Albert refuses because he knows she’s not ready and he won’t return to London until she invites him. Leopold reluctantly waits.

Meanwhile King William dies and Victoria is crowned Queen of England. Victoria’s first decree is to banish her mother and Conroy to a remote palace apartment. She embraces LORD MELBOURNE (Paul Bettany), the charming Prime Minister, as her sole advisor. They become inseparable and although his motives are slightly self serving, he truly cares for her and wants her to succeed. Prince Albert returns to London to witness the coronation and the friendship between Victoria and Albert deepens. They spend happy hours together but it is obvious Victoria is under Melbourne’s spell and he eventually returns to Germany.

The public loves their new Queen. She's cheered as she rides through the streets but this honeymoon with the public comes to a sudden end. Melbourne’s party is defeated in the elections and his rival, PEEL (Michael Maloney), demands that Victoria replace her ladies in waiting, who are all supporters of Lord Melbourne, with the wives of his own allies. Victoria refuses. Peel resigns and the backlash is furious. The newspapers declare that Victoria is opposing the public's will. They are outraged.

It is only now that Victoria understands how much she needs Albert’s support. Against Melbourne’s wishes, she summons the young Prince back to England. This time Albert is determined not to be kept waiting in the wings any longer. Seeing his new resolution and struck by how handsome and sincere he is, Victoria invites him to marry her.

The spectacle of the royal wedding wins over the public. The handsome young Prince and Queen are cheered and all seems well in the Royal household.

However tensions between Albert and Victoria start to emerge. She wants an obedient friend and lover, not a controlling husband. But he, reasonably enough, wants to be her partner and equal, to be involved in her political decisions. Victoria is furious. She is the Queen and she will manage her own business! Albert is hurt and has little to do in his new role as Consort. Eventually, with the Dowager QUEEN ADELAIDE’S (Harriet Walter) encouragement, she allows him to re-organize the palace staff. He does a great job - the household is more efficient than it's been in centuries.

Victoria becomes pregnant. Life should be perfect. But they argue when she sees Albert talking with politicians at a party. She’s incensed that he is taking the lead without her permission. They are later riding through the streets when a crazed man tries to shoot Victoria. Albert throws her to the carriage floor and is wounded trying to protect her. Shocked by the danger and amazed by the strength of his love, Victoria realizes what a selfish woman she's become. She begs Albert's forgiveness as he insists that all he's ever wanted was what was best for her. Trusting him completely, she's now ready to accept his help. Together they banish Lehzen who could not accept Albert’s place in the family, and her mother's treacherous advisor, Conroy, who was still wielding influence. In a symbolic move, Victoria moves Albert’s desk next to hers and for the rest of his life they rule together. --© Apparition

Eric Komenko is a charming, attractive high school student with devout, domineering parents. Following an angry outburst from his mother upon her discovery of his promiscuity, Eric maliciously and violently murders both his mother and father.

Years later, Lori Cranston, an attractive and audacious young girl who has silently suffered years of sexual abuse from her mother’s revolving door of boyfriends, becomes mesmerized by Eric’s story. Undeterred by Eric’s murderous impulses, Lori flees her mother’s house to find him.

However, while Lori is attracted to Eric’s sinister mentality, Lt. Cristofuoro, the officer assigned to Eric’s case, is not convinced he won’t kill again. Cristofuoro goes after him, conflicted about his desire to help Eric – whom he knows has suffered tremendously – and, his knowledge of the latter’s appetite for killing young women.

While driving towards Syracuse to find a girl (WHAT’S HER NAME?) whom he met in juvenile detention, Eric is shocked to find Lori hiding in his trunk. Suspicious of Lori, annoyed by her juvenile crush and paranoid that she saw him murder his girlfriend years prior, Eric is outwardly harsh and cruel towards her. Throughout their long voyage together, Lori becomes increasingly enamored by Eric, despite his cruel behavior and a failed attempt to kill her.

As Cristofuoro draws closer to the pair, Lori resigns to her fate. Yet, despite Eric’s calculated plan to kill her, and her complete acquiescence, Eric is unable to do so. Although upset with himself for succumbing to “soft” emotions, he leaves to meet the girl from juvenile detention, unaware that she is working with the police to set him up.

Lori learns about the trap and, after alerting Eric, she leaves with him, despite Cristofuoro’s concern she will not come out alive. --© Lionsgate

The next comedy king Vic Sotto, co stars with the sexiest woman in the local showbiz, Cristine Reyes in the horror-comedy, Ang Darling Kong Aswang. This is another entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival this December, 2009. Vic Sotto is all praises about Cristine. She's very professional during shootings. Although, she's very tired you will never hear any complaints from her. He admired her so much.

The gist of the story runs to the beautiful Cristine who is blossoming into a fine young actress in her own right. She got all the qualities of a perfect artist. Blessed with a very lovely face, highlighted by a pair of cute dimples, flawless fair complexion, contourous body, nobody will believe that she can be an "aswang". She dances gracefully like a swan and moves so daintily. You can never imagine her fly like a "manananggal". Her soft, mellow voice can easily stir the heart of one like Vic. So, despite her being an "aswang", she won the affection of the comedy prince.

In the U.S. an "aswang" is equivalent to a vampire while their witch is represented by an ugly old woman who does a lot of witchcraft.

Some critics said that they got the plot of the movie from the U.S. popular film Twilight Saga: New Moon. Vic confirmed, they have been shooting before the arrival of the movie New Moon. So, who copy it?

The humorous Vic Sotto never dreamed of falling in love for an "aswang". If he will continue to love Cristine despite this, try to watch the movie.

A Single Man is a 2009 American drama film directed by Tom Ford. The film is based on the Christopher Isherwood novel of the same name and stars Colin Firth as the protagonist George Falconer, a gay British college professor living in Southern California in the 1960s. The rest of the cast includes Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, and Nicholas Hoult. The film is Ford's directorial debut, coming off a career and experience with fashion design.

The film premiered on September 11, 2009 at the 66th Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Lion. Colin Firth was awarded the Coppa Volpi for Best Actor at the film festival for his performance in the film.

As George Falconer, a 52-year-old homosexual English professor from London who teaches college in
L.A. (the year is 1962), he has a different look and vibe, with mildly blondish straight hair and horn-rims that give him the aura of a bookish Roger Moore.

George is very much in the closet — in 1962, there is barely such a thing as out of the closet — and he's also in mourning over the death, in a car crash, of Jim (Matthew Goode), the younger man he lived with, quite happily, for 16 years. To George, Jim is irreplaceable: his one and only love. And all the beauty of the world is now just a reminder of what he's lost. A Single Man is suffused with beauty — it's a movie conceived in a swoon. (Entertainment Weekly)

"A great date movie heart and soul. The best romantic comedy I've seen all year!"
SHELLI SONSTEIN, Q104.3 RADIO

"Serious Moonlight uses the sort of elaborate battle-of-the-sexes setup intrinsic to the films of classic verbal stylists like Howard Hawks to arrive at some heartfelt human truths. The director, the actors and the screenwriter give the movie its potent heart."
ROBERT LEVIN, AM NY, CRITICSNOTEBOOK.COM

"Remember the Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally, and Sleepless in Seattle? This Meg Ryan is better! Funny and visceral, the film exudes charm and humor."
DAVID BLAUSTEIN, ABC NEWS RADIO
